Gaffers
and Luggers is a traditional Cornish boatbuilding and boat
fitting business that has been established for over 40 years,
passing on from father to son the skills of boat craftsmen
building traditional Falmouth working boats to a very high
quality and standard with that added personal touch. Gaffers
and Luggers provide ample facilities to lay up boats over
winter. It is in fact one of the largest winter-lay-up sites
in the near locality, with a slipway, a large solid quay and
all necessary facilities for traditional large and small boats.
In addition to boat craftsmen building our own range of boats
we always have at any one time a unique bespoke boat project
or boat fitting project that we are designing and building
for our customers. The Gaffers & Luggers boat craftsmen
team is skilled in handling all aspects of a boat fitting
project - from design concepts through to the build and boat
fitting. All of this work is carried out in-house by us at
our boat yard. Because all aspects are handled and controlled
by our skilled and experienced boat craftsmen team, you can
be confident that your boat project will reflect the craftsmanship
you would expect and that we will deliver the project on schedule
and within the agreed budget.
